Council protest over car mileage expenses

TRADE union members who work for the county council put balloons on their cars and honked their horns as part of a protest over mileage expenses on Tuesday morning.

The Surrey County Council Trade Union lobby saw more than 30 participating vehicles and two leading rickshaws slowing down traffic for an hour on Penrhyn Road and other streets around County Hall in Kingston-upon-Thames.
