Laptop with children's details stolen from contractor's car

A LAPTOP containing personal information on more than 7,000 children has been stolen from a contractor working for Surrey County Council.

The computer, which contained unencrypted data files including addresses and contact details for 7,851 children and their parents or guardians, was taken from the contractor’s car on November 12.
