NICOLA GRAY FROM GODALMING HAS WON A MEAL FOR TWO The Slug and Lettuce, in North Street, welcomed a smiley crowd, some looking to get in the mood before heading to one of the town’s dance spots, and others just wanting to have a drink with friends. The venue is popular with party and group bookings, and a new menu was unveiled on Tuesday. This week's featured venue: The Slug and Lettuce The bar is open until 2am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with food served daily from 10am until 10pm. Wednesday nights are ‘fine wine nights’, with any bottle available for £12.95. From 5pm until closing at 2am on Thursday, cocktails are priced £3 each or £9 a jug, while on Friday selected champagne costs £20 per bottle. ‘Sunday sessions’ have now also begun at the bar, hosted by local musician Will Shackleton, including an open mic session. The venue is managed by James Blake-Lobb.
