The Mouthpiece
Talking music with Bryan Adams
By Mark Goodier, Smooth Radio DJ.
I WAS pleased to have Bryan Adams’ company on my Take Five feature on my Smooth Radio show last week.
Among other things he revealed that his classic song Run To You was a first take recording for the brilliant Reckless album.
And he also said that he still likes his monster number one hit, Everything I Do (I Do It For You), from the Robin Hood: Princes of Thieves movie.
“It’s just a really sweet song. It brings back really good memories of writing it with legendary film composer Michael Kamen.”
Kamen was one of the great unsung heroes of music. He worked with legends like Queen and Eric Clapton, and he wrote dozens of scores for films like Lethal Weapon, Die Hard and the Bond movie Licence To Kill.
Talking of Bond, Daniel Craig promises big things of the next instalment, Quantum of Solace.
He reckons the injuries he suffered during shooting offer a good measure to the quality of the film.
He said the stunts are starting to hurt, so it’s looking good!
The rumbling you hear in the distance isn’t another earthquake but film producers rushing to make documentaries about Heather Mills.
Former friends, ex-boyfriends and Mucca’s enemies are being approached for a tell-all insight, promoted by the producer as the programme Sir Paul should have seen before he decided to get married!
